In a landmark move for pickleball’s growth in Asia, the International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) has officially partnered with the Hong Kong Pickleball Association to elevate coaching standards across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. This strategic collaboration aims to professionalize the sport’s coaching landscape, foster a pipeline of certified instructors, and support the rapid rise of pickleball in one of Asia’s most dynamic regions.
With IPTPA’s globally recognized coaching certification—accepted in over 50 countries—this initiative promises to set a new benchmark for coaching excellence in the region.
First IPTPA Level 1 Course Kicks Off April 12 in Shenzhen
The very first IPTPA Level 1 Coach Certification Course under this new partnership will take place on April 12, 2025, at the Ramsports Sport Centre in Shenzhen. Led by seasoned IPTPA instructors Eddie Shen and Mike Newell, the course offers a full-day, immersive experience designed to equip aspiring coaches with the skills, knowledge, and international credentials needed to thrive.

- Time: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (1-hour lunch break from 1:00–2:00 PM)
- Venue: Ramsports Sport Centre, Shenzhen, China
