The champions—Nik Isagan, Ken Unique dela Cruz, Fatima Amirul, and Medeline Saraza, guided by Coach Kim Saraza and Team Manager Tina Mariano—rode a dominant campaign that included six wins and one draw in the eliminations, the lone draw coming against Vietnam and foreshadowing a high-stakes rematch.
Quarter and Semi Finals
Day 2 opened with Shenzhen defeating Singapore to secure seventh place. In the quarterfinals, Hong Kong ousted Malaysia and Guangzhong eliminated Beijing, setting up semifinals of Vietnam–Guangzhong and Philippines–Hong Kong. Vietnam advanced past Guangzhong while the Philippines dispatched Hong Kong to book a marquee Philippines–Vietnam showdown.

The Finals: PCL Asia Inaugural Championship
The opening men’s doubles match delivered the pivot point. Ken Unique dela Cruz and Nik Isagan trailed 16–20 in a first-to-21 race, before saving multiple match points and ripping a 23–21 comeback. The swing delivered a 1–0 series lead and momentum the Philippines never relinquished.
Fatima Amirul and Medeline Saraza took command in the women’s doubles match and won 21-14 over Vietnam, extending the lead to 2–0. The first mixed doubles sealed it: Amirul and Isagan closed out Vietnam 21-16 to complete the sweep, 3–0, and lift the Season 1 Champions trophy.
The Philippines clinched gold, and joint MVP honors went to Medeline Saraza and Fatima Amirul for their consistency and composure throughout the championship run.
