Pickleball Getaways, the travel agency co-founded by professional pickleball players Ben Johns and Dekel Bar, is expanding into Asia with its first-ever tour to Vietnam, scheduled for February 24 to March 3, 2026.

A New Destination for Pickleball Tourism

The Vietnam program will combine world-class pickleball training with cultural exploration. Guests will stay at the five-star New World Hoiana Beach Resort, where the itinerary is designed to balance on-court instruction, sightseeing, and social events.

This marks Pickleball Getaways’ first offering in Asia, joining an existing lineup of destinations such as Antigua, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Spain. The launch reflects the growing excitement around pickleball in Asia, as more players look to combine travel with the sport.

What’s Included in the Pickleball Gateaways First Asian Tour in Vietnam Experience

According to details released by Pickleball Getaways, participants can expect:

  • Pickleball Play: Over nine hours of instruction and playing time with professional coaches, along with exhibition matches and skill-based sessions.
  • Courts: Eight permanent pickleball courts (four indoor and four outdoor).
  • Excursions: Guided tours to explore Vietnam’s culture, history, and landscapes.
  • Social Events: Group dinners, evening activities, and opportunities to connect with fellow travelers.

Coaching by Dekel Bar

Pickleball Getaways confirmed that Dekel Bar, one of its co-founders, will be part of the Vietnam tour. Bar, affectionately known as “Big D” among fellow players, is recognized for his combination of power and athleticism. He will provide coaching and instruction throughout the trip.

Vietnam as a Pickleball Destination

Vietnam has been described by Pickleball Getaways as one of Asia’s emerging pickleball hotbeds. The trip will offer visitors not only a chance to play the sport in a professional setting but also to experience the country’s renowned hospitality, dramatic landscapes, culinary traditions, and most importantly,  the momentum of pickleball Asia, attracting players from around the world to explore new courts and cultures.

Strong Demand Expected

Pickleball Getaways has noted that demand for its trips is typically high, and spots for the Vietnam tour are expected to sell out quickly. Reservations for the February–March 2026 dates are now open.
