PPA Tour Asia has unveiled the first three stops of its 2026 season, setting up an April-to-May opening swing through Vietnam, Malaysia, and Macao. The schedule starts in Hanoi, returns to Kuala Lumpur at a familiar venue, and then closes the opening phase in Macao later in May.
The three-stop reveal also sketches the tour’s early-season identity: move fast, cover distance, and give players meaningful ranking opportunities before the calendar even hits midyear. With events spaced tightly across two months, the opening stretch is designed to keep momentum rolling - on court, in the standings, and in the regional conversation around the sport.
Hanoi Opens With A 1,000-Point Statement
The 2026 season begins with the MB Hanoi Cup, scheduled for April 1–5 at the My Dinh Indoor Athletics Arena. PPA Tour Asia says the tournament is its first event in northern Vietnam, and it will offer up to 1,000 ranking points - an immediate incentive for top players to show early form and establish position in the race.
For Hanoi, the stop is a spotlight moment. A tour event doesn’t just bring matches; it brings attention, visiting competitors, and a clear signal that the city is part of the circuit’s next chapter. Registration is expected to open soon, with PPA Tour Asia noting it is set to open at the end of January.

Kuala Lumpur Returns To The Tour’s Starting Line
From Hanoi, the circuit shifts to Malaysia for the Kuala Lumpur Open, slated for May 14–17 at 9Pickle. The venue choice carries weight because it ties the new season to the tour’s origin story - bringing the circuit back to a site associated with its earliest chapter, while the tour’s footprint continues to widen.
That kind of sequencing can matter more than it looks like on paper. Opening in a new market, then settling into a known venue, helps balance the unpredictability of early-season travel with a familiar competitive environment - useful for players trying to find rhythm, partnerships, and form.
Macao Closes The May Stretch
The opening phase wraps with the Macao Open from May 28–31 in Macao, China. Positioned as another step in expanding the tour’s presence within the Pearl River Delta region, the Macao stop gives the early season a clean arc: Vietnam to Malaysia to southern China, all within a single competitive burst.
With two May tournaments on the calendar, the tour is leaning into a compact run that rewards preparation and consistency. It also gives fans a steady stream of marquee action - three destinations, three weeks of tournament windows, and little time for storylines to cool.
As the 2026 season takes shape, these first three stops set the tone: competitive stakes early, variety in locations, and a calendar that invites both established players and new audiences to follow along from the opening serve.
