Two straight weeks of elite pickleball are locked in for late September as PPA Tour Asia stages consecutive Cup-tier events in Malaysia (September 24–28) and Vietnam (September 30–October 4). Each stop carries a professional prize pool of US$150,000, signaling the tour’s biggest Asia push to date.
The Malaysia Cup opens the swing across two sites in Greater Kuala Lumpur—9Pickle Setia Alam and the Setia City Convention Centre—before the circuit jets to Da Nang for the Vietnam Cup at Tiên Sơn Sports Arena and the Tuyền Sơn Sports Complex. Tiên Sơn, one of Vietnam’s largest indoor arenas, seats up to 7,200, a fitting stage for a region ready to erupt.
Star Power Takes Center Court
World No. 1 draw Ben Johns headlines the slate, bringing a résumé of more than 150 PPA Tour titles and a global fanbase that travels. He’ll be joined by men’s singles No. 1 Federico Staksrud and doubles ace Anna Bright, with additional firepower from Tyson McGuffin, Tyra “Hurricane” Black, Christian Alshon, Zane Navratil, Zoey Chao Yi Wang, Kaitlyn Christian, and Alix Truong. Expect packed stands and long rally exchanges as Asia’s best test themselves against the sport’s biggest names.

Community on the Court
These Cups aren’t just for the pros. Both tournaments will feature robust amateur draws across ages and divisions, putting local players on the same stage—and sometimes the same practice courts—as their heroes. Gold medals, bragging rights, and precious ranking points within PPA Tour Asia’s structure are all in play.
“We are excited to bring our inaugural PPA Tour Asia Cups to Malaysia and Vietnam in collaboration with our hosts Bold D Court and Manage, and Americas & Asia Connect Company respectively. Attracting the globe’s best pickleball athletes to the region, fans will be able to watch players from the region challenge the best of the best as the sport continues to rapidly grow across Asia,” said Kimberly Koh, Managing Director of UPA Asia.
