The Philippine Pickleball Federation (PPF) and Skechers Philippines are staging theinaugural Skechers Pickleball 1st Philippine Pickleball Amateur Nationals from March 28to 30 at Tela Park Pickleball Center in Las Piñas City.
The three-day tournament marks a defining milestone in the PPF's long-termdevelopment strategy, bringing together amateur players from across the archipelago tocompete under standardised rules that prioritise safety, fairness, and competitiveexcellence.
Beyond the national title, the event carries international stakes. Select winners will earnthe right to represent the Philippines at the EPIC World Amateur Championships inSingapore, scheduled from April 30 to May 3. The pathway from a national amateurevent to a global stage underscores the growing professionalisation of pickleballdevelopment in Southeast Asia.
The PPF has been driving a broader shift toward structured, nationwide sportgovernance throughout 2026, launching a national player registry and official rankingssystem. The Amateur Nationals serves as a centrepiece of that framework, providing aformal competitive pathway for grassroots players aspiring to higher levels of play.
