Renowned for innovation and performance, Vietnam‑based brand Sypik has officially unveiled the Sypik Avatar Collection, co‑created with Quang Duong, one of Asia’s top pickleball players. Merging elite playability with elemental inspiration, this signature series isn’t just a gear drop—it’s a moment for the growth of pickleball in Asia.

SYCORE™ All‑Foam Core: Avatar Pickleball Paddle Collections

Designed to bend the game, the Avatar paddles channel the energy of Earth, Water, Fire, and Air, drawing inspiration from Avatar: The Last Airbender. At their core is SYCORE™ All‑Foam—a solid structure that breaks from the norm of traditional honeycomb builds. The result:

  • Massive energy transfer and shot control
  • A wider sweet spot for more consistent contact
  • Enhanced durability and structural integrity
  • Lower vibration for smoother, more connected play

Duong’s signature “bending” style—fluid, yet forceful—comes alive through this tech-forward design. Tournament-ready, the Avatar Collection is UPA‑A certified and PPA/MLP eligible, making it fully compliant for high-level competition.

The collection drops in late August 2025, with pre‑orders now open through select Asian retailers.

A Partnership Fueled by Vision and Momentum

Sypik and Duong announced their partnership in May 2025, shortly after his departure from Selkirk. The move marked a strategic pivot—Vietnam’s most prominent player teaming with a rising homegrown pickleball brand.

In July, the United Pickleball Association terminated Duong’s prior contract, citing exclusivity breaches. But that didn’t slow his trajectory. Duong continues to champion pickleball’s growth across Asia, unshaken and all-in.

What’s Next?

The timing is razor-sharp: the Avatar launch just ahead of the inaugural Vietnam Open, a newly minted leg of the 2025 PPA Tour Asia, set for September 4–7 in Ho Chi Minh City.

As Vietnam readies for its biggest pickleball tournament yet, the Avatar Collection marks a statement of intent—this region’s game is rising, fast.

Whether you're eyeing your next paddle upgrade or following the action courtside, one thing's clear: pickleball’s future just took an elemental turn.
